Why your self-improvement journey has been a roller coaster--the missing link

Updated: May 15

We keep doing what’s not working, expecting it to work, because we don’t understand what it is that isn’t working and why. It’s time to change that.

So many of us are on self-improvement, personal development, glow up, and mental health journeys that something should be popping in the right direction by now—so why isn’t it?

I have a simple but breakthrough concept that I want you to mediate on: you don’t feel well, because you are not well, and no amount of deflection into work, romance, nights out, or substance use is going to change that until you do.

The foundational relationship with your SELF is off; it’s disturbed. The programming is not healthy. What we’ve been modeled and taught is not only not serving us but it’s harming us, and yet we keep doing and being it because it’s what we know and what’s familiar. We neglect, dishonor, and mistreat ourselves and wonder why we feel and produce neglect, dishonor, and mistreatment. We don’t recognize what self care really is—self love actualized; habitual self respect—and so we minimize and discard it when we don’t feel like it, treating it like a fad or trend.

I need you to stop what you’re doing and watch the full video. It’s gonna help you!

There is a direct relationship between the nature and quality of your relationship with yourself and your level of mental, emotional, physical, and psychological wellness.

Bubble baths and spa days are nice, but I’m talking about so much more than that when I reference self care and how you take care of yourself.

You deserve the wellness you seek, but you need to uproot the old and plant the new. Things need to change in you and in your life—and sometimes that’s the hardest thing to accept. Once you do though, you can start immediately taking the steps that, with each one, make you better and produce a better life that you desire!

Rooting for you,
